Experiential One is an experiential learning platform designed to help institutions manage their experiential learning programs and track experiential learning data. This privacy policy is meant to help you understand what information we are collecting, why we are collecting, and how the tools are your disposable for sharing and hiding this information.
This Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service apply to your use of the experientialone.com website and its subdomains (“Website”), the jobsconnected.com website and its subdomains, and any other applications, websites, and domains operated by Jobs Connected (collectively “the Jobs Connected Service” or “the Service”), as well as your relationship with Jobs Connected, Inc. (“Jobs Connected”). A “User” is any individual or entity that uses the Website or Jobs Connected Service. Please address any questions or concerns regarding this Policy at support@jobsconnected.com.
Programs are a core aspect of the Experiential One platform. Programs are designed to be a group of participants engaging in a form of experiential learning. Programs can be for any time of experiential learning, including but not limited to internships, co-ops, apprenticeships, service learning, etc. Users that are not students (career services, employers, faculty, advisors, staff) have the ability to create these “programs” for which other users within and outside of the same institution or organization can register. Approval for registration is at the discretion of the user(s) managing the program, “Program Admin”. In some cases, institutions may upload students belonging to their institution into the program for the convenience of students and eliminating the need to register for a program. Institutions that upload students must respect the rules and regulations for their institution, as well as any state or federal laws. Students that have questions about any institution’s decision to do this for their program should contact their institution directly.
Personal identification information is collected upon account creation, registration for a program, and when creating a profile. Information requested upon account creation is required to create an account and any information requested for program registration is required by the program admin to register for that program. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Service-related activities.
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Service to monitor User behavior on the Service, bolster security, and to assess Service functionality. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, your IP address, the type of computer and technical information about Users' means of connection to our Service, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information. Jobs Connected reserves the right to suspend, ban, or take other action against any users exhibiting malicious behavior. By using the Service, you accept this monitoring and agree not to engage in any behavior that could be harmful or disruptive to the Service or other users.
Our Service may use “cookies” to enhance User experience and may be necessary for certain functionality of the Service. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Service may not function properly.
Users can create a profile once they have an Experiential One account. This information includes work experience, education, etc., and is meant to act as a resume when applying for opportunities and as a way for other users to learn about them. Users can choose which information they would like to include in their profile and adjust how this information is shared in the privacy settings of their account. By adjusting the privacy settings, users can control the information that other users can see about them. For users that belong to an institution, admins may be able to see information for users of that institution regardless of their privacy settings in order to effectively assist these users and effectively manage their programs. Admins of programs require access to information for those registered for their programs. Users who register for programs who are not part of the program admin’s institution (for example, an employer registering for an institution’s internship program), may be able to conceal certain information on their profile depending on the program’s requirements and settings. Users who manage programs, “Program Admins”, do not have access to all institution data, just programs that they manage. Institution admins with the highest level of permissions “Institution Admins” and have access to all institution data.
Program Admins will collect varying amounts of information upon registration at their discretion for a program depending on their needs and goals for a specific program. When registering, any information you include upon registration will be visible and accessible to the Program Admin and institution admins of the institution. If you have any concerns about information being collected from registration, please contact the institution directly. You can also contact Jobs Connected to report any concerns at support@jobsconnected.com.Experiential One may collect payment upon registration if an institution elects to collect payment through the Website or for subscription plans if users or organizations subscribe to certain paid plans that allow them to create programs. Jobs Connected never stores any credit card information in its database. When Jobs Connected collects credit card payments, Jobs Connected uses Stripe as its payment processor, which is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available. All information is sent to Stripe, which is then encrypted on disk with AES-256.
When signing up and upon creating an account, we ask you for information about your organization. Once your account is created and your organization is added to the Experiential One database, your organization will be included in the list of organizations that representatives can select to join when creating an account to make it easier for representatives to find and join their organization if it already exists in Experiential One. When selecting an organization to join, the organization’s area code will display next to the organization’s name to help the user differentiate between multiple branches or locations of that organization. In order to join an existing organization, a user must confirm that they are part of this organization. To confirm this, a user must sign up for an account with an email that corresponds to an accepted domain for that organization and click the appropriate link in the confirmation email sent to this email. You can add additional details for your organization in your account settings. If for any reason you would like this information to be private and not displayed on the sign up page, please contact us at support@jobsconnected.com
For each program they are registered for, users (without the exception of students) and, by extension their organization, can have postings for various opportunities if desired (internship, co-op, research, service learning, etc.). Postings are tied to the specific program and are only visible to participants who are registered for the program for which the postings are created.
Any information about the event on the registration landing page will be publicly accessible to any user that views the registration landing page as it is public, meaning that all those accessing the Website can view it. Information specific to the event page will only be available to users who register for the program and view the program page.
